K’taka breaches 13k mark with further 1267 Covid positive cases

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 1267 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, June 28 taking tally of those infected in the state to 13,190 the health department said.

Among new cases today, Bengaluru itself reported for 783 cases. Till date 3314 positive cases have been reported in Bengaluru and 2692 of these cases are active.

The state capital tops the districts in positive cases and also accounts for nearly 50 percent of the active cases in Karnataka as on date.

“In the last 24 hours, 1267 new cases, 220 discharges and 16 deaths have been reported. Out of the 13,190 positive cases, 7,507 persons have been discharged and 207 deaths have occured,” the health department said in its bulletin.

Among districts, Dakshina Kannada reported 97 cases, Ballari 71; Udupi 40; Kalaburagi 34; Hassan 31; Gadag 30; Bengaluru Rural 27; Dharwad & Mysuru 18 cases each; Bagalkote 17; Uttara Kannada 14; Haveri 12; Kolar 11; Belagavi 8; BIdar & Chitradurga – 7 cases each; Raichur, Mandya & Davangere – 6 cases each; Vijayapura 5; Shivamogga 4.
