Mangaluru: COVID-19 patient attempts suicide

Mangaluru: A COVID-19 positive youth attempted to commit suivide on June 29 near the Tower Clock here.

The COVID-19 patient is a worker from Uttrakhand and was working at a construction site near Hampankatte.

After he started showing symptoms of COVID-19, he was admitted to a private hospital in the city. His sample tests report confirmed COVID-19.

He escaped while Health Department officials were about to escort him to the hopital in an ambulance.

He reached Tower Clock and was saved by Bunder police officials while he was attempting suicide, persuaded him and sent him to Wenlock hospital.
