Bengaluru: 52-year-old died at doorstep of hospital after denied admission by 18 hospitals

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 52-year-old died at the doorsteps of a major hospital in Bengaluru after he was denied admission by 18 hospitals in the city.
The deceased, an owner of a garment shop in Vannarpet in Austin town was suffering from high fever and complained of breathlessness.
As per sources, the family member of the deceased took him to a reputed hospital on Cunningham Road in an ambulance they were asked to go back as there were no vacant beds. Reportedly, the man was taken to 18 hospitals in an ambulance, only to be turned away.
The family had also rung up 30-32 hospitals in the same period, and all they received was no. Finally, a hospital agreed to take him in after the family members showed them the acknowledgment of the samples given for the test, However, before they admitted him, he died at the doorstep of the hospital.
