Bengaluru: Ayurveda medicines cure COVID-19 patients in clinical trial, Govt to take it to next stage

Bengaluru: A team led by Ayurveda expert Dr. Giridhar Kaje has come up with Ayurvedic medicines and they had conducted a clinical trial on 10 patients. In a breakthrough, all 10 patients have been cured of the disease within 10 days.

Indian Medical Research Organization’s body Clinical Trial Registry of India had permitted Victoria Hospital to conduct Clinical trials using these medicines.

The Ayurveda experts have conducted the clinical trial from June 7 to June 25. It is gathered that all the 10 patients aged between 23 to 65 have been cured in 3 to 9 days and tested negative for COVID-19 in the final test, though the patients were suffering from Diabetes, Blood pressure, Tuberculosis.

The government officials have informed the Rajiv Gandhi Health University chancellor to give a report on this trial to take it forward to the next stage.

The cost of one medicine would be around Rs. 60 to Rs. 180 and in the future days if found beneficial. The government would take a decision on giving these medicines to treating the patients, first and second contacts as a precautionary measure.
