Belgaum: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Working President Satish Jarkiholi has stated that the main agenda of the Congress is to organise the party at the lowest levels.
Jarkiholi was speaking to reporters at the Belgaum district congress office on Saturday, July 4 after being appointed a the Working President.
The party’s worker base has to be organized from the lowest level. This can be done by making people aware of our party’s ideologies and the current situation in the country, he said.
We are turning the Congress party into a cadre-based party. Not copying the BJP. We are doing what the party needs at present. BJP is not the only cadre-based party. Before the BJP, Communist Party and many other parties were cadre-based, he added.
The responsibility of the entire State lies with us. We will emphasize the party’s strengths throughout the State. It is normal for all parties to have factions. But when it comes to the party, everyone is on the same page, he said.
A committee has already been formed to report on those who have left the party. After the report from the committee comes, we will discuss who should be allowed to re-enter the party, he added.
There have been crores of rupees of irregularities in the management of COVID-19 in the State. We will demand a thorough investigation into the issue, he said.
Refusing to respond to Ramesh Jarkiholi’s statement on KPCC president, he stated that it will be good if he (Ramesh Jarkiholi) is asked to explain about it. Don’t want to talk about them here. Won’t comment on everything, he said.
