Mangaluru: Runaway COVID-19 patient held

Mangaluru: A 18-year-old COVID-19 patient who escaped from Wenlock hospital, where he was undergoing treatment was held on Monday, July 6, informed City Police Commissioner Vikash Kumar.
Taking to Twitter Vikash Kumar wrote, “Police Constables Shankarappa Lamani and Shankarappa Nandyal does the real heroic act of tracing and arresting back the runaway (COVID-19) positive accused from Wenlock Hospital. But for their prompt and dedicated act, accused Devraj, could have infected many, without even knowing it.”
An 18-year-old youth who tested positive for coronavirus had escaped from Wenlock hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred at around 4 pm on Sunday, June 5.
