COVID-19 test report mandatory to come to Udupi from other states: DC Jagadeesha

Udupi: District deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha informed that other state people will be allowed into the district after they receive their Coronavirus test reports.

Addressing presspersons he said, “People coming into Udupi district from other states should compulsorily undergo COVID-19 test and only after they receive coronavirus test reports they will be allowed to enter the district.

If the district administration finds that the reports they subsequently receive were positive, criminal cases would be lodged against such persons,” warned The Dc

G Jagadeesha also asked private laboratories to inform the result of the reports to respective district administrations without fail.

He further added that social distancing is not being followed in buses and therefore he has ordered issuance of notice to the regional transport officer for not registering cases relating to the violation of social distancing norms against the buses.
