Bantwal: Police man attacked with iron rod, injured

Bantwal: A police official was hit by an iron rod in Melkar near Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district on Thursday, July 9.
The accused is identified as Abdul Salam (28) of Goltamajalu village. It is said that the police officer Shailesh Shetty had arrived to solve a dispute between a lorry driver and the residents.
Meanwhile, Abdul Salam attacked Shailesh with an iron rod and he has been now admitted to a nearby government hospital.
Abdul was beaten by the nearby residents for injuring the police man and he too has been admitted to the hospital.
