Udupi: 43 new COVID-19 positive cases

Udupi: 43 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the district on July 12. This has increased the total number of infected persons in the district to 1,608.

A staff at Kedooru primary health centre and a fish merchant woman from Beluru have tested positive for the virus. The primary health centre and the fish shop at Mogabettu have been sealed.

Of the 43 cases, 26 cases were reported in Udupi taluk, 11 in Kundapur and 4 in Karkala. 2 are Mumbai returnees and 1 Saudi Arabia returnee. Six are returnees from other districts and 32 cases were reported from primary contact.

Presently, 332 COVID-19 cases are active in the district.
