Kundapura: 2 police official and 1 driver COVID-19 positive

Kundapura: Two police officials from here and a driver of one of the official has been confirmed to be COVID-19 positive.

A police official from the Kundapur subdivision is one of the COVID-19 positives. He was in home quarantine since July 2 in wake of symptoms.

The subdivision office has been sealed for 2 days for sanitisation.

A Kundapura traffic police ASI and his driver (a District Armed Reserve official) serving in the Highway Patrol squad were also detected to be COVID-19 positive. Both were also in home quarantine since July 5.

ASP office here will also be sealed for two days for sanitisation. In the meantime, the ASP’s office will function from the Circle Inspector’s office here.

Udupi DySP will be in charge of the Kudapura division during this time.
