District not in need of lockdown: Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat

Udupi: Raghupati Bhat has stated that there is no need to lockdown the district as it is slowly making an economic recovery.
Speaking against the backdrop of calls from across the State for a reimposition of lockdown due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in many districts of the State, Bhat stated that in Udupi the situation is under control.
He added that a decision regarding the lockdown will be taken only after a video conference meeting with the Chief Minister with DC G Jagadeesha.
He also stated that he has already conveyed his opinion to Home Minister Bommai and District In-charge Minister Poojary that there is no necessity for a lockdown in the district.
