Belthangady: A huge rock has fallen down in the Malavanti region of the Kudremukh National Park.
The rock collapsed at Dedupe Hebbartikal hill at about 9.30 am, leaving the residents in fear.
Dense smoke was seen from the place where the rock fell. It has been reported that the incessant rains from the past few days loosened the soil on the hilltop causing the rock to fall.
About 10 houses are located at 3 kilometres from the Hebbartikal hill in the Maidadi ghat.
Last year too rocks had fallen at Tulupule causing damages to a few farms.
