Attack on Bajrang Dal activists attempting to prevent cattle smuggling

Belthangady: Two Bajrang Dal activists who were attempting to prevent illegal cattle transport were attacked by the culprits before escaping.

A team of Bajrang Dal activists had stopped a pick up truck carrying 3 cows and 2 calves and an escort car at around 3 am and handed them over to the Belthangady police.

However, the culprit identified as Rajesh and his accomplices escaped in the escort car.

Meanwhile, two other Bajrang Dal activists reached Guruvanyanakere following a tip off of another pick up truck and escort car illegally carrying cattle. When they reached the spot they two activists were attacked by the culprits and escaped.

The Bajrang Dal activists are now hospitalized.
