Manjeshwar: Cannabis worth Rs 20 lakh concealed under heaps of banana bunches loaded in a pick-up truck was seized by the Manjeshwar police personnel on Tuesday, July 21. However, the accused succeeded in giving the police a slip.
The police based on reliable information were checking vehicles at Kunjathur Padavu of Manjeshwar. Meanwhile, a pick-up truck that came that way suddenly deviated from its route and sped away through an inner road.
The police who chased the vehicle succeeded in intercepting the vehicle. However, the two occupants of the vehicle managed to escape.
