Twitter had earlier claimed that bitcoin scam hackers had “manipulated a small number of employees and used their credentials” to log into tools
Now, according to reuters, over 1,000 Twitter employees and contractors had access to internal tools that could have changed users settings and handed control to others
Hackers had tweeted from famous accounts of celebrities and politicians like Elon Musk, Joe Biden, Bill gates
FBI is currently investigating the breach and it is said that hackers could have read direct messages to and from 36 accounts but did not identify the affected users
