K’taka COVID-19 update: 5,072 new cases; 72 deaths

Bengaluru: As per the State government’s daily COVID-19 bulletin, 5,072 new COVID-19 cases were reported from across the State between 5 pm on July 24 and 5 pm on July 25.

72 new COVID-19 deaths were also reported from across the State.

Bengaluru Urban reported the highest count of cases again with 2,036 new COVID-19 positives in the same period.

Other districts with high cases include Belagavi (341), Ballari (222), Dakshina Kannada (218), Kalaburagi (183), Dharwad (183), Udupi (182), Vijayapura (175), Uttara Kannada (155), Bengaluru Rural (154), Hassan (151).

Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in the State has increased to 90,942 of which 55,388 cases are active.

With 72 new COVID-19 deaths, the total death count has increased to 1,796.

2,403 people were discharged from hospitals across the State after recovering from the virus on the same day.
