Mangaluru: Dr M Ramakrishna Rao, the District Health Officer (DHO) of Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday, July 26 issued a clarification order regarding the quarantine norms of international passengers arriving here.
In the order the DHO states that all international passengers arriving in the city will have to mandatorily undergo 14-day quarantine – 7 days institutional and 7 days home quarantine.
While in their institutional quarantine period if the person tests positive for COVID-19 then their treatment will begin and if the person tests negative then they will be sent to undergo home quarantine.
This order by the DHO comes after the confusion was created by some social media information messages that claimed that international passengers need not be in quarantine.
