Thekkatte: A cow died after being attacked by a leopard at Charukottige Sellumundu within Korgi gram panchayat limits in Kundapura taluk on July 25.
Girija Poojari had left her cow for grazing. When it did not return home late in the evening, she started searching for it and found its carcass.
Locals were already in fear after learning that leopards are roaming about in their surroundings, this attack has further increased their anxiety.
