Chikmagalur: The sand from the Gowrigadde Dattashrama was sent to Ayodhya to be set on the base of the new Sri Ram temple to be built there.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has decided to add the soil from hundreds of rivers as well as temples and shrines from across the country to the base of Ayodhya’s Sri Ram temple.

Vinay Guruji of Gowrigadde ashrama accordingly performed the pooja to the sand and offered prayers for the construction of the Sri Ram temple without any hindrance.

The sand will be sent to Ayodhya through Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar.
