COVID-19: DK reports 208 new cases, Udupi 173

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district reported 208 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, July 29 while neighbouring Udupi district reported 173 cases.
In Dakshina Kannada, the tally of those infected rose to 5,311 with today’s new cases. So far 2,456 persons have been discharged including 118 discharges today. Presently, 2,715 cases are active in the district.
The new cases include 65 primary contacts, 73 ILI cases, 12 SARI cases. The source of infection for 58 persons is being traced. Meanwhile, seven more persons succumbed to the infection today.
In Udupi out of the total 3,894 positive cases, 2,311 cases are active and 1,558 persons have been discharged.
