Karnataka reports 5483 new cases; DK, Udupi report 200 + cases each

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 5,483 new cases of coronavirus and 84 fatalities on Friday, July 31. The day also saw 3,130 persons getting discharged.

“Out of the total 1,24,115 positive cases in the state so far, 49,788 persons have been discharged and 72,005 cases are active. The death toll stands at 2,314 in the state,” the health department said.

Districtwise Bengaluru accounts for 2,220 cases followed by Ballari 340 cases, Belagavi 217, Udupi 213, Dakshin Kannada and Mysuru 204 cases each, Dharwad 180 cases and Shivamogga 158 cases.

As per state health bulletin, out of total 5,708 cases in Dakshina Kannada 2940 cases are active presently. In Udupi, presently 1,898 cases are active.
