Mangaluru: 204 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the Dakshina Kannada district on July 31 and 5 deaths occurred due to the pandemic.
The total tally in the district now is 5,713, of these, 2,929 are active cases.
70 people were discharged from hospitals on the same day after recovering from the virus.
