Bengaluru: The State’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education Dr CN Ashwath Narayan on Monday, August 3 asked all universities to conduct examinations for the final semester/year students along with those with backlogs.
The DyCM in a video conference thanked all district officials, district police superintendents, deputy directors of college education department and managing directors of road transport corporations for successfully conducting the CET examination in the State.
He stated that 33 colleges in the State have space problems and it will be the job of the district authorities to arrange for more spaces.
Similarly, he added that five diploma colleges and 28 Industrial training institutes in the State have a shortage of space and the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts should pay immediate attention to this and new buildings should be built immediately after space is provided for it.
Dr Ramanareddy, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Higher Education; Venkata Raja, Executive Director of Karnataka Examinations Authority; P Pradeep, Commissioner of the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education were also present in the conference.
