‘TCS to invest Rs 500 crore in Tulunad’

Mangaluru: The Karnataka government has given a go-ahead for four projects including a project by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) that will be set up in the coastal region.
The four projects totaling Rs 556 crore is a boost for economic activity in undivided Dakshina Kannada amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Out of these four projects biggest investment of about Rs 500 crore will be made by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which will set up an ITescen- treat Karnad village.
Reportedly, TCS, which will set up an ITescen- treat Karnad village will provide employment to over 4,000 when fully functional. The TCS center will come upon a 38-acre land parcel.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath too share the news on his Twitter account.
“Greetings, Reportedly, TCS to invest Rs 500 crore in TULUNAD. This will create 4500 jobs. Will try to get contact details so that Localities will be benefitted. This is really amazing news. The total investment in this region is Rs. 556 Cr with 4-5 companies coming in,” he wrote.
