Bengaluru: The state government on Friday issued a set of revised guidelines for international arrivals and mandated a copy of the self-declaration form to be submitted on arrival.
A self-declaration form has to be submitted by the passenger on the Yatri Karnataka portal 72 hours before the scheduled travel date.
Business or short-term travelers, who come with a negative RT-PCR report will be exempted from quarantine norms. However, such passengers need to fill a self-declaration form with respect to the authenticity of the test.
All travellers arriving at the airport or seaport will be screened for Covid-19 symptoms. Symptomatic passengers will be sent to Covid health centres for testing. Three swabs will be taken — one nasopharyngeal swab for Rapid antigen test (RAT) and two swabs, throat and nasopharyngeal — for RT-PCR test.
Those who test positive for RAT will either be asked to go for home isolation or will be shifted to a Covid hospital. Those who test negative need to take the RT-PCR test. After this, if they are found negative, they are advised 14- day home quarantine, but if found positive, they will be shifted to a Covid hospital.
Thermal screening, pulse oximeter reading, downloading and installing Arogya Setu App, Quarantine Watch App and Apthamitra App on passengers’ mobile phones are must. According to the revised guidelines, deboarding should be done ensuring physical distancing of two-meters.
For passengers travelling for less than 72 hours, there is no rule for quarantine. However, such passengers must provide a self-declaration form, a confirmed return ticket, documents pertaining to their visit, a valid visa and details about their place of stay.
