WhiteHat Jr’s 41-year-old Founder Karan Bajaj sold the 18-month-old online coding classes startup to BYJU’s for $300 million
It is said that WhiteHat Jr had a user-base of 150,000 students and 3000 teachers and conducted as many as 10,000 classes per day. Currently, WhiteHat Jr has introduced 3 million students to coding, has more than 5000 teachers on the platform and conducts 20,000 live classes daily.
According to Business Insider, Karan Bajaj is Indian-American entrepreneur, author and yoga teacher. He was born into an Army family on 30th June 1979
He is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and is currently settled in the US. Karan was the South Asia head of Discovery Networks, worked as Chief Marketing Officer of Aden & Anais in New York
Bajaj has also authoured several books such as Keep Off the Grass which came out in 2008 and became a bestseller, Johnny Gone Down in 2010 and The Seeker in 2015.
