Will TikTok be relaunched in India?
According to Qrius, It is possible. TikTok has been banned in India due to its links with Chinese Govt, and due to privacy issues. However, once Microsoft acquires TikTok, it will become a US company, and then there will be no trouble.
But, it is said that the talk of acquiring Indian operations has ‘fell through’ in the initial phase. Also, a report by Livemint says, If Microsoft buys it in the US, perhaps that version will try venturing into India. But it would be better if TikTok’s domestic unit found an Indian buyer for it to be allowed back in.
