Sringeri: Jewellery shop robbery caught on camera

Chikmagalur: A robbery in broad daylight in a jewellery shop at Sringeri was recorded in camera.

The robbery occurred at the jewellery shop of Nagappa Shetty.

The robber had arrived wearing a black facemask and with a white bag. He scared three female employees in the shop with a long blade and started to snatch jewellery from the display rack.

A male employee rushed to catch the robber while another female employee started attacking him with a chair but the robber managed to escape with three gold chains.

A case has been registered at the Sringeri police station and the police have started a manhunt.
