K’taka reports 7883 new COVID-19 cases; DK, Udupi report 200+ cases

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 7,883 new cases of coronavirus, 7,034 discharges and 113 fatalities on Wednesday, August 12.

Out of the total 1,96,494 confirmed cases in the state, 1,12,633 persons have been discharged while 80,343 cases are active. The death toll stands at 3,510, the health department said in its bulletin.

Bengaluru reported 2,802 cases followed by Ballari 635, Mysuru 544, Belagavi 314. Other districts which reported 200 plus cases in the state includes Dharwad 269, Udupi 263, Hassan 258, Davangere 239, Dakshina Kannada 229, Koppala 202.

In Udupi, of the total cases 3,848 persons have been discharged while 2,855 cases are active. Death toll in the district stands at 69.

In Dakshina Kannada, 5,223 persons are discharged while 2,353 cases are active.
