Mangaluru: Around 15-20 illegal shanty shops were evicted by city corporation officials with the support of policemen in Kavoor

It is said that the shanty shops were functioning illegally without permission from the city corporation. The officials claim that these shanty shops were creating problems for the citizens and vehicles

The shanty shop owners argued with the officials and tried to stop the demolition. But, the officials clarified saying that the drive was undertaken as per the instructions of the city corporation commissioner.

Sources claim that the owners have announced to hold a protest at 9.30 am at Kavoor junction on Monday, Aug 24
