Belthangady: Driver assaulted with sword in daylight, son’s involvement suspected

Belthangady: A man who was out for morning walk was attacked by miscreants at Junior College Road on Monday, August 24.
The incident reported when a taxi driver, Vasu Safalya (65) was walking near Junior College road and he is been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
A talwar found in the area of the incident and Safalya’s son Dayananda (38) is suspected in this attack.
Dayananda is also a driver and had been drunk and had a fight with Vasu on Sunday. Ever since he is missing and his phone is also switched off.
Belthangady PCI Nandakumar, Inspector Sandesh P.G visited the area and investigating further.
