Udupi: MLA Raghupathi Bhat stated on August 24 that the mysterious death of 26-year-old Raksha has been handed over to the Corps of Detectives (CoD).
Raksha a resident of Indira Nagar in the town here had died on August 21. She had gone to the Mission Hospital early in the morning following health complications but died after arriving home from the hospital. Her family has been blaming the hospital for negligence.
Speaking at a news conference in the BJP office in Kadiyali, Bhat stated that there is a lot of confusion about Raksha’s death. There are also allegations of medical negligence. Hence the case has been reported to the Home Minister through a DGP-level officer. The Home Minister has ordered a CoD investigation.
“Raksha should get justice. A Medical Board has been set up to take action against the guilty. The Board consists of seven specialist doctors who will investigate Mission Hospital’s facilities. They will submit a report within five days,” Bhat added.
