Bengaluru: Producer-actor Indrajit Lankesh on Monday, August 31 said that he has presented evidence to CCB officials about drug use in Sandalwood.

Speaking to reporters after appearing before CCB officials, Indrajit stated that he has handed over the names, photos and videos of the actors with him in his laptop and all other information in relation to the drugs pedalling network.

He added, that about 10 to 15 people have been named by him.

“The police officials were shocked seeing at the video evidence I gave them. In one of the videos, an actress is dancing very obscenely under the influence of some drugs,” he said.

“I cannot share with you the information I have given to the authorities regarding the drugs network because it would hamper the investigation. All the details will be given to you by CCB officials later. It is not my intention to offend anyone with this action of mine. However, it is essential for the good of society,” Indrajit said.

“My statement on Chiranjeevi Sarja was not to give pain to his family. I have said about what I know,” Indrajit added.

“Some in the Kannada film industry have started using drugs. I have some information on this. I would put everything before the authorities,” he said.

According to a report, CCB officials have attained a six-page statement from Lankesh.

State’s Director General of Police Praveen Sood said the State police would investigate the case of Sandalwood actors, actresses and musicians’ use of drugs following the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) investigation.
