Byndoor: 5 arrested for marijuana consumption and sale at lodge

Byndoor: Five people were arrested from a lodge at Uppunda near here for possessing marijuana.

The five have been identified as Yogesh Ganiga (24), Sunil Poojary (26) Yadu Narayana (21), Gururaj Poojary (25) and Ravi (25).

The police based on a tip-off raided the Samruddhi Lodge within Parichaya Hotel at Nandanavana, Uppunda.

40 grams of marijuana along with specialised paper for its consumption, mobile phones and 3 two-wheelers were seized during the raid.

A case has been registered at the Byndoor police station.
