Govt has taken drug mafia seriously: CT Ravi

Chikmagalur: Minister CT Ravi said that the drug mafia is not something new in our state and many attempts have been made to uproot the mafia but the government now has taken the trafficking seriously.

“The officials questioned more than 84 people and the government has not compromised on the drug mafia issue. The drug trafficking is not just specific to Karnataka but spread across the nation” Ravi said.

“At some place, drug mafia is linked to terrorism while in some places well-known celebrities have been named in connection to the cases. The officials will rigorously investigate everyone involved in the case,” he said.

“The government has a responsibility to free the youth from this evil and there are attempts to put pressure on the investigating officers. The government will not heed to any pressure,” he added.
