Leopard creating panic trapped in Manipal

Manipal: A leopard that was creating panic among the locals of Vijayanagara Kodi of Manipal has been trapped in the cage placed by the forest department officials on early Saturday, September 5 morning.
The leopard used to devour the calves, dogs, and hens of the houses in the vicinity.
As the menace of a leopard was increasing day by day, people had stopped venturing out in the night.
The forest department had placed a cage to trap it after receiving a complaint from the villagers. The leopard got trapped in the cage on Saturday.
Municipal councilors of Saralebettu ward Vijayalaxmi Nayak, locals Divakar Naik, Uday, and Ramesh coordinated with the forest department in the operation.
