First case of COVID-19 reinfection reported B’luru

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old woman from Bengaluru became a first-person in south India to be reinfected with COVID-19.
Reportedly, doctors at Fortis Hospital’s Bannerghatta Road unit confirmed that the hospital had reported the first reinfection case and also informed that the woman had no history of any comorbidities.
The woman in question was tested positive again nearly a month after she was treated and discharged from the hospital.
The State Health Department now wants to get the recurrence studied in detail by doctors.
The first COVID-19 reinfection was reported in Hong Kong on August 24, there have been reports from Belgium, the Netherlands, and the US.
