K’taka COVID-19 update: 9319 new cases; 9575 discharges; 95 deaths on Sep 5

Bengaluru: As per the bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare of the State government, 9,319 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the State on September 5.

On the same day, 9,575 people were discharged after recovery and 95 deaths occurred due to the virus.

With these new numbers, the total cases in the State have risen to 3,98,551 out of which 99,266 cases are active.

The death toll from the virus now stands at 6,393.

Districts that reported higher cases of COVID-19 include Bengaluru Urban 2824, Mysuru 686, Belagavi 427, Ballari 396, Shivamogga 329, Dakshina Kannada 326, Hassana 324, Dharwad 311, Tumakuru 304, Haveri 295, Chitradurga 261, Uttara Kannada 247, Chikkamagaluru 239, Davanagere 221, Udupi 217, Koppala 198, Gadag 194, Raichuru 187, Bagalakote 180, Kalaburagi 165, Yadagiri 139 and Kolara 119,
