Udupi: Ullal fishermen who went missing after boat capsized found at Malpe

Udupi: A fisherman who went missing after the purse seine boat he was on along with 29 others capsized due to heavy winds in the sea was found 30 hours later in a dinghy at Malpe beach here on Tuesday, September 8.
Arthur Sunil Coelho (45), a resident of Ullal Hoige, went missing on the night of Sunday, September 6.
30 people including Arthur who went fishing experienced problems soon. At about 11.30 am, the boat’s belt was torn off causing the fishing net spread in the sea to entangle.
All the fishermen tried till nightfall to disentangle the net. By midnight rains and storms increased pushing the boat further into the sea and later capsizing it.
After searching for Arthur the whole day on Monday, a missing case was registered at Ullal.
