Yakshagana Academy invites application from artists for monthly stipend

Mangaluru: The Karnataka Janapada And Yakshagana Academy has invited applications from veteran Yakshagana artists for monthly stipend stated a press release from the Academy on September 10.

Artists who are 58 years old or above must submit their applications with a certificate of achievement, Aadhar card copy, Photo and a letter from Tehasildar stating that the artist is not receiving any old-age pension from the State, the release stated.

Additionally, the artist must not have an annual income exceeding Rs 1 lakhs. The application must be attested by the Assistant Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture, the release added.

In Dakshina Kannada, applications will be available at the Department of Kannada and Culture’s office in Tulu Bhavan at Mangaluru.
