Shikaripura: Officials raid fields, seize 27.5 kg raw cannabis plants

Shivamogga: The District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) team and Shikaripura rural police conducted joint operations and seized 27.5 kg cannabis in two separate operations.

As per sources, the officials have conducted the raids based on confirmed information.

The accused are Swami Rao and Nageswara Rao, residents of Kattigehalla village in Shikharipura Taluk.  It is gathered that the total worth of cannabis is said to be Rs. 70,000.

Police said that the two accused are absconding and a case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act.
