Kaup: A young woman who was seriously injured in a car accident on the National Highway 66 here has succumbed her injuries.
The deceased, Ashrita Saldanha (24), was a native of Mangaluru.
The driver of the car, Nihal Dinesh Shetty (24), is said to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred in the afternoon on Friday, September 11. Shetty lost control of the car and rammed into an electric pole, later hitting the highway divider.
Five people in the car were injured in the incident.
