Mysuru : Taking a jibe at Siddaramaiah, BJP leader and Yeshwanthpur MLA ST Somashekar on Saturday said that if the former chief minister does not tweet frequently then even Congress will forget him.

Siddaramaiah keeps tweeting to remind that he is the Opposition leader, the minister told reporters in Mysuru here.

Further Somashekar added that after DK Shivakumar’s elevation as KPCC president, Siddaramaiah is scared that the party will forget him.

Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s attack on the government asking it to wake up from slumber and handle Covid-19 situation efficiently, Somashekar said that it is the opposition leader who needs to wake up from slumber.

People are aware of the measures taken by the state government to tackle the pandemic. What did Siddaramaiah achieve in his 5-year tenure. Few people assume that their responsibility is only to tweet,” Somashekar quipped.
