Bengaluru: Sandalwood drugs case accused actress Ragini Dwivedi’s mother Rohini said that her daughter is a tigress and both she and her family are not afraid of anything.
She was speaking to reporters outside Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara here on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 16 after she, other family members and Ragini’s lawyer were not allowed to meet Ragini due to restrictions on family visits to prisoners in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rohini added that my daughter has been working in Sandalwood for ten years. Media is saying that she is a culprit. She will come out as innocent. Then she will answer the media. We are hearing reports in the media that we have three apartments. We only have one apartment. We have already answered to the investigation officers about these queries.
Prison sources informed that Ragini is ill and is being treated in the prison hospital since Wednesday morning. As she is an undertrial she has been admitted to the hospital’s quarantine centre. She appears to be mentally traumatized by the incident hence hospital’s doctors have advised Ragini to eat at the right time.
The main accused in the case Delhi-based Viren Khanna, has been reported to own properties in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. According to sources, he has properties in more than 10 countries and pays an annual tax of almost Rs 2 crore.
