Bengaluru: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates his 70th birthday today (September 17), Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah said that this day should be celebrated as National Unemployment Day

Taking to Twitter Siddaramaiah wrote, “More than 2 Crore salaried jobs and 12 Crore overall jobs are lost in the last 6 months. The unemployment rate reached 45 year high due to decisions of PM Narendra Modi’s government. To honour his achievement, disheartened unemployed youths have decided to celebrate this day as National Unemployment Day.

“This National Unemployment Day, I appeal to PM Narendra Modi to create adequate jobs to address the ongoing crisis. This crisis will create huge demographic dividend problems wasting precious years of our youths,” he added
