Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Gasti dies of COVID 19

Bengaluru: Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Gasti from Karnataka died on Thursday, September 17. He was 55.
As per sources, he died of COVID-19. Gasti had taken oath as an RS MP on July 22.
Gasti a lawyer from Raichur was the former general secretary of the BJP’s OBC Cell and former chairperson of the State Backward Class Development Corporation.
Ashok Gasti was associated with the BJP from his student days through the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and later got involved in the organization work for the BJP. In 1989 he was made the president of Raichur District Yuva Morcha.
