Vitla: Landslides completely destroys house; 6 injured

Vitla: A landslide at Banari Babukatte in Mangalapadavu here completely flattened a house and injured six people.

Vegetable vendor Abdullah’s compound wall collapsed on his house due to the landslides caused by heavy rains. All six members of his family were trapped inside the house.

Locals immediately came to their rescue and hospitalized them.

Abdullah, his wife Johar, their children Arafaz, Irfan, Taslima and Mishriya are being treated at the hospital and are being treated at hospitals in Vital and Tumbe. All are now out of danger.
