Padil: Mudslip reported at rail tracks

Mangaluru: A mudslip has been reported at the railway tracks on the Padil bypass stretch here on Sunday, September 20. According to railway officials the incident took place at 1.30 pm.
The mudslip will not affect movement of passenger train services, said officials. However movement of trains, to and fro, Mysuru side will be affected.
Trains, goods and passenger on this section, now have to make a small detour to reach Mangaluru Junction and get Locomotive reversed, before moving towards Hassan or Karwar as the case may be.
The Bengaluru-Karwar-Bengaluru Express special (06585/06586), would run on this diverted route till the track is restored.
