Bengaluru: Director General and Inspector General of Police of Karnataka, Praveen Sood informed that the police department will be soon extending the e-Lost App to the entire state.

Taking to Twitter Praveen Sood wrote, “E- Lost App of Bangalore city Police saves 4 lakh avoidable footfalls to police stations every year. Online report and instant certificate facilitate getting duplicate issued. Soon it will be extended to the entire state. Watch for the announcement.”

The E- Lost App launched by Bengaluru police in 2017 helps in reporting lost things such as documents, mobile phones, wallets, and more.

According to the police, there is no need to visit a police station and file a complaint, people will get an e-mail with a digitally-signed copy on the app itself acknowledging the lost report, which can be authenticated by authorities like for duplicate documents.
