Several youngsters and activists took to the streets to protest against climate change in Delhi

Delhi: School pupils, youth activists and communities around the city turned out for a day of climate strikes. They demanded climate action from authorities as part of the Global Climate Strike.

As reported by HT, a group of protesters had gathered at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Friday afternoon demanding inclusive, attainable environmental plans, among other things.  Another group of protesters did a shoe strike outside the Prime Minister’s office.

Their list of demands included saving the Aravallis, improved sewage treatment plants to tackle pollution in the Yamuna, decentralized waste system, and better environment education in schools.
